National Construction Training Services has confirmed its membership of the Federation of Traditional Metal Roofing Contractors (FTMRC) – dedicated to ‘setting the highest quality standards’ in metal roof design, specification and installation.
As a provider of high-calibre training in a range of roofing disciplines, NCTS is committed to providing the next generation of tradesmen and women with the skills and qualifications to enable them to progress their careers.
Jayne Fergusson, Operations Director at NCTS, said: “We have joined a federation which is as committed to upholding standards within the roofing industry as we are. We look forward to a long and beneficial association.”
Formed in 2006, the FTMRC is an independently-run trade association – of specialist contractors. Each offers a 10-year insurance-backed guarantee as part of its dedication to providing quality craftsmanship for clients. Contractors are supported by 11 associate members supplying materials and ancillary services.
NCTS offers quality training and on-site assessments in a range of roofing disciplines such as lead, hard metals, slating and tiling, and waterproofing. Candidates signed-up to its On Site Assessment Training (OSAT) programme, for example, are taking a first step to gaining a Level 2 NVQ qualification.
Jayne Fergusson added: “We are delighted to put our name to an association as prestigious as FTMRC. It offers a great opportunity for NCTS to promote its superb training services which are available for roofers of all ages and ability. We have the expertise and experience to provide and arm our workforce with the necessary skills to fulfil the UK’s future building needs.”
