The Lead Contractors Association (LCA) has a new member – National Construction Training Services (NCTS).

The training specialists in a range of roofing disciplines such as lead, hard metals, slating and tiling, and waterproofing, offer a variety of industry-recognised qualifications designed to enhance the careers of roofers of all ages and ability.

Speaking of the company’s LCA membership, Jayne Fergusson, Operations Director at NCTS, said: “The LCA was formed to promote the highest quality standards in lead sheet roofing, which is an ethos we support and recognise as vital to upholding the industry’s reputation.”

Formed in 1984, the LCA comprises of specialist installer members and associate members. LCA members are able to provide a 25-year guarantee with all work undertaken. In conjunction with federations, training groups, manufacturers and employers from across the roofing sector, NCTS provides high-calibre on site assessments (OSAT) as well as a lead Basic Competency Programme (BCP) training operatives that are taking a first step to gaining a Level 2 NVQ qualification.

Jayne Fergusson added: “We have the resources and experience to supply a new generation of roofers with the confidence, skills and qualifications to help their career flourish. The number of skilled workers throughout the construction industry is at a record low; therefore it is vital training services provided by companies such as NCTS are called upon to address that alarming trend.”
